Thanks for your response, Declan. As you know from the talk I came to dance after years of studying literature at university. I have a lot of respect for the rational, the analytical and the verbal. But I found dance could express and communicate important experiences in a way that other forms cannot. I am reassured by your comments and those of others that I am not the only one who feels so.

Fearghus,
I saw Tabernacle in Kilkenny the night of the ‘talk’. I was a little bemused if not angered by the calls for more ‘info’ explaining ‘stuff’. Your piece spoke to me quite clearly on pretty profound level, Fearghus. I’ve not seen one of your shows before, but am looking forward to the next one. I’m not sure why talks at dance shows end up in a gaggle of grunts justifying the medium. It is, move on folks.
