Dance Limerick
June to October 2021
Ten dance and digital artists, including Fearghus and collaborator Rob Eagle, have been selected to take part in a new initiative of the Light Moves Festival, aimed at investing in and nurturing creative process and enquiry in dance, technology and screen-based dance practices. It is a partnership between the Light Moves Festival, Dance Limerick and The Digital Media and Arts Research Centre (DMARC) at the University of Limerick. The residencies encompass choreographic approaches, machine learning, liveness, augmented reality, smart textiles, performance and real-time processes.
The Open Futures 2021 Artists are (in their groups): Georgia Tegou and Kristina Pulejkova, Eva Baumann and Michael Tuttle, Fearghus Ó Conchúir and Rob Eagle, and Ruairí Ó Donnabháin, Róisín Berg, Julie Phelps and Sorcha Hassett. Scroll down to meet the Artists.
