My next performance is as part of Lorcán MacMathúna‘s reinterpretation of this ancient Irish epic, An Táin. Lorcán has written a song cycle in the sean nós style and has assembled a group of brilliant traditional musicians (Martin Tourism, Eamonn Galldubh and Daire Bracken) to accompany him. We’ll be using Louis LeBrocquy’s illustrations of An Táin from The Niland Collection as an inspiration and a backdrop for the performance.
